I see a lot of that on eBay. I'm not sure if they're fishing for some unsuspecting low info buyer, or if it's a typo.

I've notice it the most with AM P&C kits. They'll be $50 for a certain model, then you'll see a $250 one thrown in the middle.

Did you click to get to this page?

This has been on here before, folks (some) that play around in the chainsaw parts and accessories section when they really don't have the item jack the price up instead of letting the listing end.

It is essentially a rule violation, no item for sale but obviously some folks think this is on the up and up.

Hey guys thats definative dave on here.he more than likely ran out of stock and bumped the the price out of proportion to keep anymore from selling until he gets more in stock.he on the up and up.great guy to deal with.

Ok , I was afraid it may have been someone from here that have posted that item for sale. No harm intended as Definative Dave is a stand up and well known member here at AS. I have sold on Ebay for a few years some 20 years ago and have made some really good $ at that time , over 22k my first year and having to repeatedly make new "item for sale" posts really sucked especially when I didn't have the stock to ship out. It makes total sense now why the price is jacked up. That item there he is selling , I can not find anywhere , even HL Supply is out and I refuse to buy from outside the US. DD , once again I apologize and meant no harm. I will try to remove this post this morning.

eBay has gotten to where it's so expensive it's nuts.
To begin with they charge the seller to put an ad up, and then then charge again at the end. And Paypal charges too. Between the 2 it's a good 10-12% or more depending on the item and amount. And the fees are pretty well hidden.
I sold a couple things this winter, about $750 total and they sent me a bill in the mail for a bit over $75. After I shipped the stuff, paypal took their cut, paid that bill, etc I saw about $600.

The couple times I found something on there I needed I just ended up calling the place and ordering it right from them without messing with eBay.
Bought a log grapple for my skid steer, solar panels for my house, a couple chainsaws, firewood bundler all that way usually get a better price since there is no middle man.

Yea he explained it once, he does it so he does not loose the #'s sold and history, when his inventory runs low. Once he gets more in he will lower the price back down.

smart dude if you ask me! I wonder though if I accidentally clicked the "buy it now" option at that price , what would happen , lol.
