Zama C1Q-EL6 vs EL7

Is the Zama C1Q-EL6 the same as a C1Q-EL7 except without the limiter screws?

Application is to replace the carb on a 2002 55 Rancher EPA, which has the EL7 with the limiters already removed. That carb was rebuilt, but still has problems, probably my fault, but I'm tired of dealing with it.

Yes: the only differences are limiters and adjustment screws. For the rest fully compatible.

It should fire up straight away but take your time to properly tune it. If I remember correctly that Zama has humble ordinary straight screwdriver slots for tuning, so no need for fancy adjustment tools. Or their cheap Chinese clones.

A late update... I've probably run 10-15 tanks of gas through my 55 Rancher since I installed the eBay C1Q-EL6, and it has never run better. This site is great.

Actually, I agree. I joined here last fall. The folks here are really good guys. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they are willing to share their knowledge. Most of the time it's good information. Sometimes you need to read through a 20+ page thread to determine what is bull $hit and what is actually true - but you'll have that on any site I guess.
