    Interesting find inside a tree?

Not good. I dropped it off this morning to see if it is salvageable. No broken teeth somehow. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Interesting find inside a tree?

My brother and I are milling up a claro walnut and hit something in the stump. I was pretty surprised. And irritated since I forgot to bring an extra chain. Oh well. It's an old tractor bearing.grown several inches into the tree. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Yes. I did notice the valve screaming. I didn't know that it had a relief. Until I posted here, I didn't know there was a relief. Galvanized fitting dangerous? Had no idea. Thanks. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Plus I wouldn't be lifting them. The regular splitters I had used in the past had mauls that were just too small, and some were horizontal only. Those were a pain in the back. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    help with large homemade splitter!

I often need to split large hardwood rounds and figured this would be easier than quartering them with a chainsaw, then splitting. That was my rationale when I picked it up. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    help with large homemade splitter!

so, I understand the argument of starting over or trading for something different, but I don't think I'm there yet. I haven't done any more to it than replacing hoses and oil. I took a few more pictures today that might help diagnose any problems. keep in mind I hooked up pretty much all...

So...here we go again with a log splitter thread. sorry. here's the problem. the splitter is a large guillotine style that I picked up at a local estate sale. I paid $50 because no one wanted to move it. it is 10' tall, 5.5' wide, and has a 4'x2'tall blade made out of 2" thick plate steel. it is...

no doubt, but I have $250 in the current setup total, and buying another splitter is really out of the question. besides, this one works, I just need to figure out how to get it to work a little better.

I replaced all hoses when I got unit. all 1/2" except for the line from tank to pump. it is 1.5". inlet and outlet on pump are 3/4" I think. someone asked about fireplace. it's a double door fisher insert that is 34" front to back. I go through probably 3 cord a year, give or take. I have...

so... would a pto pump be better? I have an 8n and a small kubota. I'm not in a position to spend a ton on new pump AND motor. I would be delving into uncharted territory with this setup, for me anyway. thoughts?

So hooking up a stronger motor could solve the stalling problem? I have an 18 hp. too much?
