I`ve had good luck with Castrol Super Clean or the other purple degreaser at Sam`s Club, a hose, and a bristle brush. ps: make sure that the piston is a TDC. ;) :laugh: :laugh:

A full circle crank may not help a true chainsaw engine given the small crankcase volume that they inherently have. I`m curious to hear what experiences anyone may have regarding full cranks in a saw vs the same model without the full circle crank.

John, Any induced error may compound on subsequent grindings, or at the very least stay the same. It`s very unlikely that an uneven grind from side to side will cancel it self over time without making adjustments to either the grinder or your technique. If the delta is truly only .001, how...

Isn`t it standard wisdom that when grinding rakers you should always grind from the inside out or vise versa, assuming that your grinder is bi-directional, to minimize the inherent effect of the rakers being off the true center of the wheel?
