Lawsuit over wood burning in Live Free or Die state

I've seen the same thing around here but with farms. We've actually had people trying to sue farms around here because the smell. Duh! These farms had been around for years before some city slicker moved out there and then wanted them to control their smell. So far they are losing.

    Makita DCS520 ?

I thought about the fuel pick up too. I'll look and see if it's laying awkward or maybe it's got a hole in or something.

    Makita DCS520 ?

It seems like my Makita runs well until I tilt the bar down while cutting then it seems to speed up like its running lean. Anyone ever had that happen before. Any suggestions?

    Piston install

I got the low idle adjusted so it's not stumbling when revving. The high speed I adjusted so I'm running at about 12,700 and I'm pretty sure she's four stroking. Putting out a little smoke but I would rather have it running a little rich while it's breaking in. How long should I wait before...

    Piston install

New piston is installed. Ring clearance was around .008. New compression check was above 150 psi. My last question is what is a good starting point for the high flow setting on the carb during break in? This is a new carb too so it hasn't been adjusted yet.

    Piston install

What do you guys use to compress the rings while installing?

    Piston install

Getting ready to install a new piston in my 372xp. Which way do the markings on the piston face, should the ring gap be in a certain position and what do you guys use to lubricate the piston?

    372xp fuel problem

Okay, latest update. Put a new carb on it and still no vroom! Piston looks like it is wet on top but the plug is dry. Going to check the compression this morning. Hopefully I'm not looking at a rebuild?:bang:

    372xp fuel problem

Thought I would give an update. Pulled the carb and cleaned it and still no fuel to the cylinder. Carb was full of fuel but the plug is dry. Blew through the impulse line and that was clear. Ordered a new carb for it today. Hoping that will solve the issue.

    372xp fuel problem

Blow into the impulse line from the carb side to the crankcase or from the crankcase side into the carb? Is it possible to have a ruptured diaphragm so the impulse line could pressurize the tank and that's why I lost my tank vent?

    372xp fuel problem

Is that normal after you change the fuel lines? I thought the choke would help do that. I'll give it a try.

Yeap. Changed them one at a time on different days.

    372xp fuel problem

My saw started leaking fuel really bad so I found that the tank vent had come out. The saw ran that way for a few minutes and then died. I've replaced the tank vent, filter plug, impulse, supply line and tank filter. After all that it's still not getting any fuel. I'm going to take the carb...
