    Stihl 084 AV Ignition Coil

Why could you not take the winding from an 088 coil and put it on the 084 base?

STIHL 032 AV- looking for ignition coil

The module portion from the 1300 coil will fit the 032 poles, but it requires crankcase modifications in order to work. I have done it successfully. You supply the 1300 coil, and I charge $80 to do the conversion.

ms 880 big bore kit and drive sprockets

880 options To the best of my knowledge, there is no one currently overboring, or making such a kit for the 880. As a big saw, it is the best out there, but for shorter bars I suggest an oversized sprocket, say a 9 or 10 pin in 3/8 pitch. The machine itself comes into its own more in the 42"...

Boneyard American saw and one Poulan 86 in excellent condition Have an old Lancaster saw. Turns over fine, good compression, no fire. 034 av idles but wont rev???

Refusal to rev. Check the impulse line. After that, if there is no reaction to setting the carb, there is still probably some restriction. Also, check the fuel line for cracks, the part # for that is 1125 358 7705

Anyone able to identify this saw?

Picked up a red colored boat anchor several months back. No markings anywhere. No sprocket cover, but a strange but innovative chain tensioner device. Machine is distinctly hideous, but it has kicked around the Chattanooga, TN area for the last 40 years, and we cannot figure it out. I will post...

    stihl 044 top end question.

Cause of failure Classic lean burning situation. Possible causes: bad fuel, air leak, faulty fuel line, restricted high speed jet. Check fuel Line first, then impulse line, then carb. Then check crank seals. Where I work, legislated moonshine keeps me in work replacing fuel delivery...

    stihl 044 top end question.

Hones for cylinders. As a tech, I've looked into the brake hone route. An old saw mechanic put me onto the use of 120 grit flap hones. Turn oversized flap hones down to useable size by chucking in drill and running in reverse against coarse abrasive. Turn to where it can just be forced into...
