Well, I had a good chuckle last night while reading local news paper. Guy has mixed hardwood dried/split 18"- delived $185/cord. I hope that was a type-o. If not, wholly crap, might as well run furnace. A month ago in southern minnesota, a delivered hardwood cord was $80-$85.
I also wonder if these fellas delivering "mixed hardwood", if it is "all" hardwood? I'll assume not...Lets be honest, when these guys are out cutting, when see a prime tree for the woodstove, and here stands some dead/dying POS little scrub tree in the way, you know it went in the customers load somewhere? Some folks can't identify the hardwoods/softwoods. Also possible, they may not care, wood is wood.
