Nice picts Lee, looks a lot like N.S. must be a regional thing. I like the moose, couldn`t count the number of times that I have snuck up on them in my canoe when they are feeding on lily pad roots they dive completely out of sight and come up with a big wooffshh when they exhale water from the nostrils.

You watch yourself PB. You're attracting the kind of riffraff that we don't need here. Cease showing those Baxter ####o pics.
Please tell them that the cold is so bad 11 months of the year that.......; the black flies suck so much blood out of man and moose that.....; and that Mainers have no teeth, bad breath, carry more sidearms, and the women have more facial hair than most Maine men. Do not come.

If the schedule works out, I will be there.

Okay, so a Texan rancher comes upon a farmer from Maine. The Texan looks at the Mainer and asks, "Say, how much land you think you got here?" Mainer: 'Bout 10 acres I'd say." Texan (boasting): Well, on my lot, it takes me all day to drive completely around my property!" Mainer: "Yep, I got one of them trucks too."

These are all part of the old Bert and I bits. FYI--there is a new CD reissue of all the Bert and I routines. Classic stuff for you from away Maine devotees.

BUT: please, stay away, way away. It is really not a place to enjoy. You may however visit south of the MA/NH line which we draw just to the south of Rockland, Maine. It is for you "the real Maine" to shop in Freeport and Kittery. You will be more comfortable with those people that wear whale pants, drive Lexi, walk on clean Nikes, and buy LL goods to carry back to their McMansions in MA and CT, and women who give you their IQ finger if you drive too slow.:dizzy:

You have been warned PB.

I know. I have seen many "Welcome to Maine! Now Leave." bumper stickers.

Must be made by the same company that makes the bumpersticker that reads, :Welcome to New Hampshire! Now Leave." :)

The summer people are a double edged sword. They can be trying at times, but all the local businesses (mostly all family owned) are dependent on the cash they infuse into the economy. Lots of folks in these parts are holding their breath at what next year will be like with the state of the economy. In my area, a lot of the summer folks are retirees who own homes in Fla. and up here and they move with the seasons. They tend to behave themselves pretty good.

The non-second home owners seem to be a different class of tourist. I've been told by a few that I'm "number one."

Say "YEAH".
We are not worthy. We are not worthy.
You are The One. The Second Coming. The Redeemer. I believe in your divine holiness. Pray for us. :agree2: :agree2:

LB,

You and Lead better watch out. I can think of at least 4,136 AS members that would be attracted by that post of yours.

Most of them from the Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky regions. :)

But it's true, I found the fact online. The few, the proud, the 4,136.:agree2:
