maybe huskies just stay pretty?

i'm no pro user by any means, and this one ain't old, but it gets 1-2 gallons a week put through it and this shot was taken a day after using it to level 14 oaks.

just kinda wipe it off and it stays pretty i guess.

how about new saw old bar..and a bunch of locust that needs to be split.Lucky for me neighbor will split all day with his splitter for a 30 pack of busch light
I just make it a good practice to keep my saws clean.

All i can say is that all my saws get used, and used hard when being used. But they are all kept in like new cond, they are torn down, cleaned and serviced regularly.i guess i can say it is because as a kid growing up,we had nothing.so now that i have a family of my own,and a good job,i can afford some nice things. So i appreciate having a bunch,(too many),nice saws. I know what it is like to have, and use junk, that is why my saws look like they do! And being that they are all stihls,i know they will last for a long time to come.

kinda dirty here.

i only cut on the weekends so my saws will stay lookin good for along time if i can keep the trees off them

Same here.
Tonight I used some carb. cleaner to get some spilled oil off my Craigslist score (a cherry 024 AV Super).
It took the paint off the top badge. I know it's silly, but I'm sad and mad. :(

mine all look used cause they are. my 335 is pretty minty just from lack of use. the 372 is run dry and set aside for big projects, it has sun faded plastic and has been crunched and rebuilt once. the 346 gets run atleast once a week doing somthing, shows general wear.

they all have grey/silver wear spots on them from riding in my toolbox.

PS, see the pics of my 038 in another thread. that is a well used saw!

and mine was the original "Made in West Germany" tag that was in pretty good condition. :censored:

I blow them off an wipe off while i'm changing/sharpening chains, cleaning air filter or gassing up in the shop.
As long as its functional and "clean" (no chunks of ####) im happy
