They still use the ol' easy to break rear handle design - LOL :yoyo::yoyo:

Ya, they had to get with the times eventually!! But there not quite there yet. Look at the el-cheapo handle. LOL LOL made from recycled sewer drains.

how about you actually own one of these saws before you rattle off weak points, every saw has weak points its something we all need to understand.

I have seen a lot of those rear handles broken on E-bay and elsewhere, but never on other major saw brands.

Most likely they are broken by misguided people standing on them when starting the saw on the ground (as the manual tell you to, but they hope you really won't do) - the manual really is there to cover their liability arse, not to give good advice....:monkey::monkey:

If people only talked about saws they owned or have used then we wouldn't have much to discuss now would we? Fact is, the weak points are evident just in the published specs.

I still think its ugly, but I care more about getting one in my hands to use. If the top cover was different I would like it better. I know that looks dont mean much to most, and in the end it doesnt matter, but it doesn't look as sexy as my 064, or 044 for that matter.

True. My big Pet-peeve with it would be that you need a screwdriver to get at the dang air filter, surely Stihl must know this by now????????
