I just got a dolmar ps-401 and I am very happy with it. 2.3hp it is about a 40cc saw. the advertised weight is 8.8 I gased mine up filled it with oil and it has a 16 inch bar and chain. I took it to work and put it on the ups scales and it tiped the scales at 11.1 lbs. and one thing I love about this saw is how nimble it is. You can have one for around $250.00 Good Luck in your hunt.

Just bought a ms211 about three weeks ago and is an excellent small saw. I was helping a buddy cut a good size oak yesterday and used the 211 for some limbing. It runs and cuts great and I still have the safety chain on it. At one point, I cut a round from the log just to see what it would do in bigger wood and had the bar buried. It cuts like a bigger saw.

I just cast a vote for the Efco. My Efco 165 came from Baileys this week. Really like the saw. 5 year warranty for personal use/2 year pro. Beats the 90 day warranty we get here on Husky or Stihl.

I think I'd try a 211. I'm partial to my MS200 though, but if I didn't have it I think I would save the extra bucks and buy the MS211. I haven't really liked the previous small Stihl's 170/180/210, but the 211 seems to step it up a bit.

No other small saw will compete with the MS200 but no other costs as much either.:D Try the 211 or Husky 435, those seem to be the most popular saws out now. I love my 211.

I like the Redmax3800 better than the Dolmar401. I highly recommend the little Max. First Max was $130 used. Second was $200 new. I still have not gassed it.

Last week I bought a new Dolmar420 off Ebay. It was $226 plus $10 shipping. I am still getting familiar with it. Compression is very close to 200psi with just one tank of fuel.

I voted other.
