I'm sure these have been posted but I couldnt find them. So, here they are for others that may have not been able to locate them either. I'm new to this site of course but have already found it very helpful. I am going to enjoy the reviews on the 562XP and the Stihl MS261 you guys are going to be putting out. One will be mine as soon as the dust settles.

555, clamshell or not?

I see a screw under muffler that may to be to hold vertical split case
together. A plastic frame saw probably wouldn't need it.

Looks can be deceiving, but both those saws appear to be built on the same chassis. I would suspect vertically split crankcase with removable cylinder

576 autotune ,560xp .562xp , MS261 , MS362 neat saws and a pretty good indicator that technology and innovation will keep us with some hot-rods for a while yet .
Here's a thread from 2001 with questions about saws from the future and we can see that a few saws have changed but nothing game changing yet .

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer for the light saber .

It may be what Husqvarna classes as a robust saw like 359. I have a 55, not
quite a pro saw, but still reliable, think the 353 & J-red 2152 were in that
class, share parts with 346 & 2153, but cheaper P&C.

That 562 has a LOT of silver! Not bad looking at all. Chainbreak over the muffler though.....might get a bit hot maybe??

Not much room on the sides of the Muffler for a second outlet either.:D
The factory opening is gonna have to be "Adjusted" or a second top outlet added..or both.

I'm wondering if they went with the 2bbl or single bbl carb like the 372XT.
If it's a single, it looks like they can be "Unstrated" like Brad just did with his 261.

Dang Husky for teasing us with this one for so long!!!

Stay safe!

I may have to get me one of those 562 saws. Thats a really sharp looking pair a saws there! I bet they will run like you know what too.....

Could the 555 be the replacement for the 455? Ken

LOL!!!
No way in hell is Husky gonna discontinue or spend the $$ to rework that market segment.
The 455/460 has the momentum of an Avalanche thanks to the box stores.

No need either, as the thing is already EPA compliant.

I'm guessing the 555 will be replacing the 359 as the "Tweener".

Surely it isn't a clamshell design! :jawdrop:

That is all correct, but this time there are a bit more difference than just the P&C. ;)
