oh ok i'll take and see i can get my kodak camera hook up and maybe i can find out what i'm doin wrong here i might have to down load a other driver of something

Should be an easy fix...

Hi
If you hook up your camera and switch it on, the computer should respond somehow. It may open a small window asking you how to proceed, or it may simply add the camera as a drive. You should be able to find it in "My Computer" or by using Finder. Sometimes the drive is called Kodak or whatever brand your camera is. If you double-click the drive you should be able to browse it and find your pictures.

If you happen to have software such as Photoshop or Picasa installed, it can import your pictures automatically.

Picasa is free. You can download it from here: Picasa 3: Free download from Google

If you post some more details, I will be happy to help.

I guess any digital camera will do. There is no point in uploading high resolution pictures, as they just take up the entire screen. Most cameras can shoot at various resolutions, so pick a low one, if you already know the pictures are just for uploading to AS. If you are going to print them later, use the highest resolution and use either Photoshop or Picasa to reduce the resolution before uploading. The same can be said for videos, but you will need different software for editing.

I have a Kodak ZD710 digital camera that also does video, one tool that handles both jobs. It is a 10x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom and 7.1 megapixel. You can pick them up for about $100 refurbished and I have had mine for about three years. With a 16gig SD card you can take hours of video, the 2gig card I have now will hold 45 mins of video. It comes with all the wires to hook it to a computer through a USB port or a TV through RCA jacks.

Minolta G400 Its an oldie, but I love it! I've had it for around 5-6 years already. Its a 4 MP, and I just treated her to a new battery last week. Its been dropped more times than I care to count, and even got thrown, hard ( by accident!) down a slide at an amusement park and survived.

I just got a Nikon Coolpix L110 for Christmas. I like it better than some of the smaller flat cameras. The flat ones have a tendanecy to go squirting out of my hand when bouncing around on the boat try to get fishing pictures. I put all of my picks on Photobucket first. I haven't tried a movie yet, but I guess it will work the same way, Joe.

It seems you are not asking what kind of camera, but how to use yours ?
Are you saying you can shoot videos but don't know how to get them from your camera to your computer ?
Can you get pictures onto your computer ? It should be no different.
Are you trying to put them on a Mac or a normal computer ? ;)

I'm guessing that you installed the software that came with your camera (image viewing/editing software) ?
That may be your problem ? I hate most of that crap.
If you have a normal computer, you should be able to just see your camera as a drive, drill into it and open the folder that contains
your pictures and videos, and copy/paste them wherever you want on your computer's drive.
(Same for Mac, or do they force you to "sync" ?)
Then you can open them with your software of choice.

LOL. I'm looking for a beat-on, point-and-shoot, camera for @ $100.
My wife said she had a $25 gift card for Amazon and sent me that link.

I have impaled once a guy carying this;
I like the look of it but I hate the bright light it summons everytime I press the button...

My favorite is a General Electric camera I found at K-Mart. It zooms for a long distance which comes in handy when shooting fallers at work.

I can't seem to get it to download with the cord that came with it, and get bored while reading manuals on how to do it, so I take the chip out and insert it into my computer. Video is downloaded to Youtube, still pictures to my computer.

It is a cheaply built camera and I doubt it will last long. It does take surprisingly good pictures. It is a bit bulky for packing around in the woods--barely fits in my vest pocket.

I bought the wife a Konica Minolta, Dimage A200 in 2005
It will also take video, I use it more than she does and have been very
happy with it. 9 times out of 10 I just use the point and shoot mode.
These pictures have been down sized big time.

Those hummingbirds are nasty little critters. I stopped feeding them because I was sick of the bickering.
