Doesn't look all that different. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. Hopefully it remains a little powerhouse.

BTW, if the new husky tophandle is anything like the t425 (all cheap plastic); Stihl will have no problem remaining at the top of the food chain concerning top handles.

That ms241 looks promising too. I assume it is replacing the ms250?

The responsible and enviromentally sound thing for stihl to do would have been to retain as many ms200 parts as possible, but im guessing they have gone out of there way to insure than no part will be salvagable from the thousands of ms200's out there.
Wankers.

I still see the same buzzy carcase with just the handle damped from vibes, also only a 0.1 KW(0.13 HP) bump in power which is just measly, everyday atmospheric conditions affect more of a change than that, basically a weak improve over the same old same old, all just digits on paper though, can't tell without giving it at least a weeks worth of thrashing, but yep just about guarantee they'll make every little bit non-compatible just from greed and general all round sleaziness LOL

I like the new look... Oh ya, it looks the same... I also like the new sacbbard, it looks pretty nice too... Stihl changed something that didn't need to be changed and it looks good.

The MS241 is a Pro 40cc saw and the new MS251 will be based off of the same chassis, along with a new MS231

Now that will be an interesting saw! I can't remember (if any) a pro-style rear handle saws from Stihl in the low 40cc range. I know Husky had the 238 and 242xp. This saw might be perfect a perfect match for a bucket truck.

Getting the strato replacement saw with the same power and no significant weight increase IS pretty good. Based on all the other strato series saws, this one should have better torque too, which could make a big difference. We'll know once this saw and the new Husky get in people's hands for a bit.

That 241 does look like a really interesting saw. (The 231/251 may well be also.) I'd like to see more of those if they ever make it to the States.
