Aaron, yer just a pup.

Nah, he ain't the pup. I am...

He's more of an almost middle aged still young puppy dog.

I ain't wasn't around in 74... my parents were in high school at that time. Pops worked in a foundry, and momma worked at a place as a bookkeeper. Pops got two of his fingers broken by a mold, so he worked in the office as a bookkeeper at the foundry. By the time they got out of working at the places and were at college, they were so good at accounting that people in their classes would say "How did you do that?" and such. So they are still accounting to this day.

Also, anyone have a paint code for Napa Trucolor paint to make Mac yellow? That's the paint brand that the paint/bodywork master uses at work. A color chip from the saw might work, but I don't know if he has a tool to measure the paint content to make the proper mix.

I'll leave ya'll alone now...

One question, why don't you think the 610 is the last of the Macs?

----------------.

I can't speak for Jeff.....but I'd wager it's because they're put together like a giant mini-mac. Clamshell case. Too much plastic. The big insult is that it was a 'replacement' for the more expensive 10-10 in some markets. An OK saw....but not a "real McCulloch" in the opinion of many of us...

Aaron, yer just a pup.

Yep, but not compared to the whelp with the 610. I was a shop monkey working on 610's when he was born...:jester:

Don't touch that thing Yoop, it is a mankiller.
Got a model number?

I know my wifes great uncle was killed by the chain snapping many years ago. her old man was looking to sell it back a while ago I just havent goten around to see what would be a fair price to sell. her old man is a mac fan some day if ya dont mind I am going to copy yer avatar and make him an intarisa of it.

I see... said the partially blind and slightly idiotic monkey...

I also didn't know this kind of humor was wasted on you guys. When I shake hands with someone I know (pops, uncle, good friend, etc.) I sometimes say "You got quite a grip there, Nancy." Obviously it's simply in a bit of fun. Well, I guess it was a bit of a waste here. Figured you'd roll with the punches and call me shop monkey more often... or the like.

Your weekend assignment is to go back through here and find out why I feel the way I do. Stated it at least twice, maybe three times in different posts, I think once in response to you or someone who answered you. If you can tell me Monday, you will again be eligible for promotion. If not, its back to monkey business.

Older people don't like to roll, reminds them of the hoveround waiting with their name on it in some corner. Humor was not wasted, but maybe mine was.

Valspr paint code

Hey ProMac /shop monkey / bench weasel -
Search for ModifiedMark's post on Valspar auto paint for a Mac match, since you have access to a paint booth and all that equipment ... :)

Started messing with my 7-10 today, got a new piston for it a couple of weeks ago and thought I would start putting it together while waiting for parts for the 890. I took some pics of how I pushed the wrist pin in. After I got the connecting rod connected to the piston I started cleaning and prepping the cylinder, and found that there was a pretty large chunk of the chrome plating missing. So its all back in a box, dont want want to risk damaging the piston so I am on the hunt for a cylinder now. If anyone has a 7-10 cylinder or even a parts saw let me know. Anyway this is how I do piston swaps with pressed wrist pins.

This isnt the professional way to do it, but for me with the tools I have available it works and havnt had any problems yet.

You look right at home with that saw, almost as if maybe you have run one a time or two:msp_smile:. Why are suspenders preferred over a belt? Might be a dumb question, but I have wondered about that for awhile now.

chicks dig suspenders. only reason.

A running Mac 2 man? :msp_scared:
:) Ive seen IGPOE run his before, or try to run. Mine will pop and run, then thats it, and I just move it back to the corner.
Most 2 mans I have seen dont sell for less than 250$. Depends on who wants it, and what they wanna pay mostly. Hard to place a value on something that not everybody wants. Im a cheap-o, and like hunting for deals.

Hey shop monkey,

I'll get the remainder of your heap tomorrow, most likely. Sweep up good, hand me 2 fingers of Cut, get it running, and make the A-Main, we'll let you try a real racer...
