LOL... yeah man pulling a wet engine over nice and slow the bubbling is perfectly normal, the compression needs to go somewhere, loosen your spark plug and it will bubble out there instead...

I'll give a little bit of an update. Looks like this is a more serious problem than I had hoped. I found that the choke shutter was stuck shut with gunk. Cleaned the carb thoroughly. Cleaned out the fuel tank. Cleaned the piston and cylinder and all looked good. Was hoping that it would fire right up. Not so much.
Once it was back together tried to fire it up again and once again a bunch of black crap came out the front. %@^#%! So pulled the jug and the crankcase was just full of this black crap. So how do you clean a crankcase? I've heard that kerosene is good. I just want to clean everything up and then start diagnosing things from the small and cheap to the more complex/expensive.
Now I am not sure if it was flooding, or some numbnut figured out a way to fill the crankcase with crap. I just don't like liquid coming out the front of the saw when you try to start it. Thats just not right.
*and I will keep the rest of my posts black in color, I've never had anyone complain in the years of forum posting I've done (not just here), but oh well.

Fuel + something. Perhaps some remnants of carb cleaner? Definitely not bar oil.

Use some two stroke fuel and scrub it down really good then rinse with clear water and blow it out really good with compressed oil. Sounds like this goo came fro the impulse hose? Make sure to oil the crank and the the piston with a light coat of two stroke oil:msp_thumbup:

HUH ???? I think he was refering to cleaning the INSIDE of the case to clear it of the "black gunk". Water would be a "NO-NO", me's thinks :msp_scared:

Are you saying that water neutralizes gas? That is an extremely odd statement coming from someone who claimed just 45 minutes ago to have fire department experience.
Not only don't you not know about volatile fluids, but you also are severely lacking in mechanical apptitude. Gas will "wash" a bearing and water will cause it to rust. You can do that on your saws, but PLEASE do not suggest that others do it on theirs.

As a pastor his behavior is that of 2 year that can not have his way. I am being calmer then people know. I have been called a lot of foul things in my day but when some one openly calls me a liar in public forum with no personal knowledge of me,that is uncalled for. I do not sit on here and re-post every offending post on his so why do it to me? I could be nasty but being a pastor the the best way is to call him out. Cutting timber has long since past up being my main wage,I may be rusty with some things but still can get it done safely.

You know I was always one of those guys who has read through many threads in which HBR has took a big ol' dump on, always thinking "I hope he never shows up in my threads." And yet here we are. I'm glad most of us are not dumb enough to actually listen to this clown. I would agree that he is a liability: people google about information about saws and get directed to these very threads. Threads where they read the nonsense of HBR. There are people like this in all jobs, hobbies, and interests, so it doesn't surprise me. But goddam follow Slamm's advice and go find cancer.
I want advice on this site from people who know more than I do, not from goons who know a lot less.

Re-ring the old thing, get some new plastic for it and retune it and then learn how to sharpen a chain or at least have a new one ready for your next video. If in the land of Logging gods, like the west coast, a town is at the mercy of your apparent ineptitude for the cutting of wood, then I would say the "spotted owl" has done its deed and the tree huggers have won.

I could go on to some discussion board about robotics (something I'm not savvy with) and go try and make myself sound like a engineering maven and give advice. Does it make me a liar? No. Stupid? Yes. I think there is lots of evidence on this forum that you claim a lot of things that are shady at best. You may or may not be being honest with your claims. I don't care. Wow! Just Wow! Fuel will NEVER neutralize water. And why would the fuel need neutralized anyway? That's what's supposed to be in a crankcase. Goo from the impulse hose? Really? This one was really over the top. I'm not calling you a liar, but you have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about! You really need to stop posting. Someone's liable to actually believe something you say, that doesn't know any better. Seriously, do yourself, and everyone else, a favor and stop posting any "advice" what so ever!
