i thought the parts where the same,, but they are different by only 1-2 numbers,,will have to go by his place and get the serial off of it

What he meant was that certain series numbers were under a recall, and u can take it to ur echo dealer and walk out with a brand new saw....

howdy folks,
i picked up what looks to be a decent stihl 066 that from what i can tell, got a crack in the gas tank (which can be fixed), then became an organ donor, i checked compression and was suprised to see it pulling 165lbs, p/c look real good as well, here's what i need to get itn back to life..
clutch side is missing everything from the crank case out, oil pump, clutch, drum, brake band kit, ect... other things/areas are, brake handle, black plastic trigger top of handle and screw, air filter plate, filter mount, scews, filter and rear cover..... other than that it's all there...
don't have alot to trade other than an abundance of 32" stihl rsc chains 3/8, 050, some full comp, some skip, used once never sharpened..
could also trade some of those green folding things..
thanks, chuck

I am pretty sure I have an used oil pump, New bar plate, rubber seal for the gas cap and maybe a couple other small items. These were for an 064 that I had and never used. They should work on an 066. If interested send me a P M.

I need the outside bumper spike for the above saw. If you have one you will sell send me a P M. Tom

Post up a part number, Tom. I have some NOS stuff from around that vintage, and there are a few spikes in that box. Need a number though.

If you have not already cut a deal with another member, I'm interested in your 019t and I have all your MS310 parts.

BTW, your PM box is full!

Jimbo

I've got a 019 T for Parts, it is missing a clutch drum, cover and needs a rope handle.

Need MS 310 parts- oil pump, clutchdrumbearing, cover, recoil assy. af cover.

Sorry for the misinformation. I made an assumption and was wrong, but there is just one number difference. With a little modifaction I bet it would work. Tom:hmm3grin2orange:

The 064 uses a hose and the 066 goes thru the case to the bar. I don't think you could interchange them at all.

Hard to tell what it looked like originally.

I have a PL-4 parts powerhead (manual oiler) with many good parts. Also many XL-101 bits and the ever popular Poulan 2150 misc.

Thanks fellas.
Carl.

Don't make me start an Old Magnesium Swap Meet thread.

I bought a oil pump off the bay for my ms170 and a 028 oil pump shows up. Not paying the shipping back to deal with this clown. So i have a 028 oil pump would like to trade for a 170/017 oil pump.
