next time im at the saw shop ,i will see if they can get me a set of 4 points for the 461 ,i believe pro-safty is based in my state ,has a local ph # on my 372 husky handlebar

1128 664 0507 for the outer. It's in the picture up there and the inner is the same as a 460. The spikes don't have the whole part number listed on them in the first picture.

inner, same one used on a lot of saws.

**All parts are from 460 manual except for outer dog which is 461-specific

You know, so far the standard oiler has been fine, especially after I opened up the slanted hole on the 28" ES Light bar.

the 460 dual port muffler cover fit ,i didnt try the whole muffler yet ,but it appears to be the same ,

The 460 dawgs should work, there was only supposed to be 9 parts that were not inter-changable from the 460-461. The dawgs were not one of them.
What you have I believe is a 660 outer dawg, the only difference between those and the 460 one is.... Yep, you guessed it, the roller does not line up.

I took the 4 point pro safety dogs off my460,the inner is the same outer is longer about 1/2 an inch,i will post a pic tomarro

Hard to type on a phone ,it has an 1128 part number instead of 1122 like on the inner

I've had a couple of sets that have been mixed up after ordering them, and just modified them. Maybe I was wrong and the clutch cover is different on the 461. Strange feeling, I have never been wrong before, hehe.

the clutch cover is like older saws its the same ,just the outer dogs different ,yes ive put 440 dog on a 460 ,just the roller catcher was different ,a file in the hole and works fine ,cant do that on the 461 ,the front cases are a little longer ,i took some better pics last night ,and a couple of the 460 and 461 side by side i will post in a little bit ,it looks like maybe 9 parts may be the same ,rest of saw is all new ,think who you were talking too had his shoes on backwords that day

I think it's the same, too. I have a 046 muffler that I haven't had a chance to put on the new 461 yet. Can't wait to bolt it on and fire it up. The guys in Sedro Woolley told me that the fallers there testing the 461 were putting 460 coils in them. As I just muffler mod (or in the case of the 460/461, just get a 046 muffler), I can't speak to the reasons for it. We'll see how mine goes pretty stock.

whats wrong with the 461 muffler ? this one flows pretty good
