Sawtroll and Moody: Stop acting like snobs and give the guy a break. He's only got 3 posts, so why not welcome him to the site instead of belittling him? With 47,000 posts Niko, I'm sure you've repeated yourself a few times.
Beyond that, there really aren't many topcs here that haven't been covered several times before, so if we go new topics only then there's little left to talk about. Re-visiting a topic rather than using the search feature allows new guys to PARTICIPATE in the dialog instead of just reading an old thread. If anyone feels they have seen a topic enough times before, then they should "search" for something else that they find more interesting.
Bob Melton: First welcome to the site! 66's are kind of rare as they were only on the market for 3 years or so, and they are good runners as you've found out. That entire chassis was updated for both Husky and Jonsered; among the changes were the adoption of a single coil ignition to replace the twin coil set up, different muffler, etc. Husky introduced the 272 at this time and they also fazed out the grey tops of the 61/66. The 61 continued with an orange top, but the 66 morphed into the non-XP 268 open port or "special". Probably due to the 268 being a well known model number for several years.
EDIT: OK, I see he did start the same thread twice. Just a new guy mistake; no big deal.
