Jonsered CS2152
so... now that i know, the 2153 is the 50cc hotrod, of course i get a line on a NOS 2152... while this isnt the preferred 50cc saw, can brad or mastermind port it? tune it? does anyone have any experience with a modified 2152? is it worth putting money into? i guess what im asking, is that if i can get it cheap enough, can some one on here make it a great saw?
thanks
Husqvarna/Jonsered has for a long time provided the XP or ULTICOR models as the top models. In addition to these top models, an almost identical model has been introduced. The Jonsered CS2152 or Husqvarna 353 are typical examples of saws with slightly less temperament, with a lesser trimming level, lower fuel consumption and hence longer lasting life.
That was the reason we went for the CS2152 9 years back, so another fact is that these are long runners in production, and gets more refined for each revision. It'll also guarantee a good availability of spare parts. Apart from a tank ventilation problem that plagued the first years models, which got a design revision in 2007 I think, this saw has been working very well, and has a remarkable low fuel consumption (good torque at low rev. too), being of the non-strato design. Being a non-strato (CLEAN POWER™ / X-Torq®) design, means less parts and better longevity, so why waste time in changing what's working so well? If you want more performance, get a 346xpNE or a new 550XP instead!
