Oregon Pro-Lite works very well for me.
Thanks, but I can't get 058 gauge chain locally, so I need to stay at 050.
I can do that, but I like to give that business to my local Stihl dealer. They're good guys, and I really like Stihl chain. They do a "buy 1 chain, get the second at half price" which ends up costing the same or less than getting Oregon chain shipped.Consider buing Oregon chain online - and make sure you have a good supply, so you don't have to buy locally.

My local Stihl dealer only stocks 050 and 063, but I will ask them if they can get me some 058 chain. The "other guy" at the local lawn & saw shop stocks oregon in 050 and 063 only. 058 just isn't popular around here.Stihl make most common chain models in .058 - it is just a matter of distributers and dealers stocking it! You can also order any dl count you need

I will do that if I don't find something better than the pro-lite. I would like a Tsumura if I can find one in this size. I'm kind of tough on bars, and I prefer to "buy right once" and have my tools last a long time. Why don't you want to get the Oregon Pro Lite bar in 16" ?
I have the 20" and 18" 3/8 .050 Pro Lite Bars for my Husky 550xp and will probably get a 16" pro lite as well just to give it a try.
Someone quit making the k095 mount but i can't remember if it was Sugihara or Tsumura or maybe both??
Sugihara, but that was on the replaceable sprocket nose bars. They still make the laminated sprocket nose bars (somebody posted a pic of one in this thread recently too).
I don't know if they are discontinued, but the small mount (AT) Sugihara light is a combination K095/K041 Mount, that reportedly doesn't work well with the captive bar nuts on the 550xp and 560xp family saws. Bar oil leaks via the bar bolts and nuts.

My local Husky Stihl dealer stocks 050 an 058. They are phasing out the 063.

Pretty interesting how the gauge preferences vary by location. .063 still seems pretty popular around here. My 025 (and the 250?) runs .063Same here they have always stocked .050 and .058 but soon .063 will need to be ordered
Yep, that's why I was looking for one of theirs. Don't seem to be any available in the k095 small mount any more.Laser markets bars made in Germany and other high quality sources.

I suspect that could be overcome by filling the upper (unused) hole for the bar adjuster with epoxy and shaving it flat with a wood chisel at the proper time in the cure. ..... .

I ended up getting a Husqvarna branded power match for $45 shipped from the zon. (Made by Oregon as far as I can tell.)
It'll weigh a little more than the Oregon pro-lite, but I can replace the sprocket if I kill it in a pinch, and it should be able to hold up to the RPMs of the ported Redmax and all the heat that it will make.
