Anyone have any insight in why Stihl keeps this great saw in limbo...I see its back again in the wrap handle version.

Not NJ. Our dealers only have 441's.
Ok, well I see it's back up on stihl's website....so i'm assuming its out there in some areas. But then again I don't see a 241cm on the website and we all know it has been released in some places.

Strange.

I've yet to see a 241. They do have the 150 though, which is a surprise.

There's a dealer at home that has one on the shelf.

I've had 3 new ones since they discontinued them and sold all 3 without fueling them.

My dealer said that they were allowed to produce so many saws that didn't meet current emissions specifications. Stihl can sell so many and then they/we are out of luck.

My new ms362 just about beat me up why would some body want a saw bigger than or are you cutting redwood ten feet thru.I'm cutting flour foot trees like butter

About the only time I didn't like running the 440 we had at work was when we were clear cutting a fenceline that went on for ever. Took about a week and a half with 4 guys going at it with. Everyone grabbed the 361's we had and since I was low man I got the 440. Most of the bush was less than 6". A little overpowered...lol.
