I'm waiting on parts for a saw build, and as usual I'm having an issue with the USPS.

Damn tracking is a complete POS. Latest check shows that my parts shoulda arrived two days ago. Not one friggen update in 3-4 days in the tracking.

This doesn't ever happen with UPS or Fedex, ever.

Typical Government agency that just sucks. Those Phuckers deserve to go out of business.

I hate that too! Like they can't be bothered to update the info... just point there gun at it and shoot, not hard to do. I watched a recent event at the post office just before Christmas. When the woman challenged the Post Master (not an employee, the man himself) to just do his job, he asked her to leave the premises. She was there to retrieve a package, they left a note on her door saying it was at the post office and to come by for pick-up. They couldn't find it, claimed it wasn't there and she wasn't very happy. He then told her he'd call the cops if she didn't go now! Real shame to see.

I know many postal workers personally.

Generally take ZERO pride in what they do. Many complain that "it ain't like the old days". Many still go to work and drink alcohol all day on the job.

It's amazing. And then they'll cry when their jobs become extinct.

A group of workers recently arrested by me. We're pulling packages of items that appeared to be high value and selling the products.

They also busted around 10-20 overnight workers at the sorting facility by me. They set up cameras and found the entire place sleeping in a trailer every night. They just bought their sleeping bags in, slept for 8 hours, and clocked in 10 hours of time and a half for night work.

Awesome, right?

Basically there seems to be little rhyme or reason for their repeated quality and efficiency issues. Having tried to track several packages coming in around the holidays it was almost humorous to watch some coming from the North -- wind up in a postal area south of here, and eventually arrive, and then some coming from the south of here arrive in a postal area north of here and eventually arrive. The lag in the update system (at least from my observation) is quite common. I have had some that arrived, and the tracking had not worked for days. It's crazy! At this point there is absolutely NO WAY I am going to send a saw through these folks.

When one package was virtually destroyed years ago, the postmasters recourse was "file a claim". From my experience, and from reading other threads here the response is very poor and usually you have just about as much chance of getting satisfaction as you would jumping off an overhead bridge onto a busy interstate and remaining alive :surprised3:

Furthermore, the shipping you pay for (as far as 2 days or three days etc), does not always take place. You can purchase it -- if it makes it, FINE, if not, well there is just no "quality control" on expedited arrive times etc. SO...if it does not make it in the time you purchased, tough luck. Perhaps when they finally go bankrupt, someone from the private sector will step in or something-- just don't know.

Be careful voicing your opinion here on AS!! Lol!! I did last night about a part that I bought that looked practically new in the picture and when I recieved it looked like a damn elephant set on it and sucked it up their a**!! Well got my a** tore up for exposing the business by a few memebers! I really dont give a crap as this site has become alota members that look for a reason to belittle u or prove u wrong to make themselves look good! There! I feel better lol! But yes the postal tracking sucks. Ive signed up with ups and fedex for tracking updates and follow my package easily with updates by text. I feel your pain man!!

The government can't do a single thing right.

Two kinds of money in the world, "my money" and "your money". People use a lot less discretion when spending "your money" than their money.

Now the Government wants to control our Healthcare, our college tuitions, and pretty much everything else.

I'm getting sick and tired if hearing how we need to help more people. I saved for my kids college tuition. I get a resounding "you don't qualify" for any type of aid.

I guess I really phucked up. I shoulda had a few kids with different woman I did not wed and lived in my parents basement till I was 40. I shoulda went on vacation instead of paying my mortgage off. I shoulda leased a brand new car instead of fixing beaters in my spare time and selling them after using them for a year or two. Shoulda bought the newest computer or phone instead of paying my electric bill.

Around here, if you walk into the bank and ask for a lower interest rate on your mortgage, they laugh at you if your credit is good and you're paid up to date. Don't pay for 6 months, they call you and literally blow you and beg you to take a lower rate.

I can't take the approval for bad behavior and the punishment for good anymore.

If you factor in all of the taxes you pay daily, real estate, sales, income, gas, etc.... You're at 60+%. I guess that's just not enough for them.

Who knew? Rant never gonna be over.

Yes it does, you just haven't had your turn at bat with them yet.

Not sticking up for USPS, their tracking sucks.

Never say never huh?

I've had good dealings with UPS,only one bad deal in several decades.
USPS, good too except for terrible tracking and slow shipping if priority is not used.
Fedex........I.......I......I don't even know where to start.

I think the usps depends on the area as im on a out of town route and they change drivers like underwear!! Different delivery times from driver to driver , packages at main office but driver doesnt deliver until the next day. All this time im waiting on parts to fix saws

Ups seems to be the most accurate in our area followed by fedex. Usps is a 50/50. Depends on if the driver forgot your package that should have been delivered today and delievered it next day! Not next day delivery like we are thinkin though!!!lol

I have a very small town PO just 1 1/2 miles from the house. That's not where mail or packages come to me from though. Fortunately I have had the same mail lady for several yrs.
I do ship all from the little one horse town PO.
Seems like the longest shipping times for any of the carriers is for the parts that you REALLY need.

We've allowed the weak to survive for to long and political correctness become the norm by not saying anything when wronged. I really feel sorry for my daughter's generation and thankful I probably won't be around to see it!
You got that right!

I have shipped using usps from usa to Australia over 150 times...NEVER a problem.

When you guys complain about usps and compare against ups etc, are you comparing about the same cost of service, or is the better ups more expensive?
