I agree mate. As a kid/teenager I was used to gutless bikes and the biggest I had was an old twin shock YZ100. Then didn't ride bikes for years and my brother bought a YZF400 when they first came out. I'd kill myself in seconds on one of those things. Quickest thing I've been on was a ported and worked over KX500. Guy couldn't keep gearboxes together but that thing had spoon fed cripple written all over it. For a short while I considered a new CR500 but then common sense kicked in and I realised that I'm quite simply not that good :)
Yeah dirt bikes can mess ya up! haha....about 3years ago was not going that fast a bloody roo hit me at full flight busted some ribs collapsed half my lung, I went into the hospital even argue with them to help me I'm messed up in pain and something is wrong with my lung! anyway they sent me home saying there is nothing wrong with me and would do nothing not even look at me.. I put up with it for a few weeks and ended up getting pneumonia in both lungs was about a year after all that until I felt 100% again I was pissed sickest I've ever been....I just work on bikes now mostly do bottom ends keeps me in beer money...Working on a 93 KX250 putting a new bottom end in at the moment......250.JPG

Not wrong mate. I've done the broken rib thing. Not much fun. Some bastard left a stump 8 inches high about 3 feet off the track right beside a set of whoops. Landed right on it and knocked the wind clean out of me. Another young bloke I used to ride with wasn't so lucky. Came up short on a triple in his back paddock and died at 16. Poor bugger.
