Hey folks.....who do we get makita spare saw parts from around here. Can Matt get oem stuff or just am p/c kits? Saw in question is a Makita 231t current model top handle. Don't need p/c....just plastics, covers and sprockets after it fell out the cruiser ute at 100k.

Hi mate.
I have heaps of Dolmar spares here but only for the 6400-7900 series (plus some gear for the Sachs Dolmar 115i) and only for my own saws. I don't sell any of the bits I have. Everything I've got has come from Edge & Engine in the US and anytime people ask me about Dolmar/Makita spares that's where I send them. Good pricing and good service. If you got gear off of Makita Australia prepare to feel butt raped on price.

Try $68.00 PLUS freight for a sprocket for a Makita DE4035 from Australia - the same sprocket from Germany $28.00 including postage. I love my two small dolmar/makitas but am dreading the day I need rebuild parts for them.

edit to make it clear the price was from Australian dealer.

Achieved a little today, got the 90 cylinder screwed down, carb & exhaust bolted up.
Fired on the 4th pull, sat there idling, it's outta tune ATM , but that'll be rectified once I fit a bar , chain sprocket combo.
