Have to induct 2 newbies on one of those made in England 9" chippers Monday morning.

I've been using it for the past couple of days and the farking thing spat a 6" by 6" log straight back at me and hit me on the full in the chest......no damage luckily.....

They can be kitties of things sometimes

Just watched an outback truckers episode here. Talk about gluttons for punishment those blokes are. Had to feel for the old fella with the body that was failing him but he didn't want to give up driving. But farked if I want to spend $2k each time I top-up me tanks, or drive on schizophrenic roads. Hats off to the nucking futs good buggers getting stuff to where it needs to go.

Turbo is the bloke you want to watch, he is the only real truckie on that show...

What does a 100' roll weigh? 7kgs? Could get that but LCS only do Oregon from what I can see, so it may be hard to consolidate things.

Gonne get me some of the crappy (but WTF-cheap) GB 3/8LP 18 and 20" bars (wrong mount but not so far off that can't be made to fit). Quite keen to see how the Stihl 241 goes with a 2o" bar. Should be super for limbing and trimming.
What mount did you go with?

Chippy, unless you have some brilliant insurance somewhere for y'self and other workers, I would not touch a wood chipper like that for
quids, tell the rental co. to stick it................

I have seen the result to a body when hit in the chest with a lump of wood off a saw bench, it was fatal !!

My insurance is not brilliant.

Not sure how it came back at me but it must have been the last of the log it was feeding into the disc......it tends to throw back the left overs but normally only a few inches and nothing that would be considered dangerous....except if it hit me in the head or if it was sharp it would have been a different matter...

I've got about 300 cu mtrs left to chip too.....I should get the 12" one from Kilsyth, much better unit.

He was scattering half his chains and accessories, etc along the road on last evening's show. I don't know how those guys make any money, although the show didn't go into what they are paid for these trips.

The bars they have on special are AO41. Lifting images from a GB catalogue, here's the red AO41 outline on a black 3005 mount:

I think it'll work after some manipulation. Worth a crack?

The stupidest episode was the one where this woman truckie was wingeing about slow cars being dangerous, which was fair enough, so then she's dangerously tailgating this car & it slows down & has to stop at the bells & lights of a railway level crossing, she nearly cleans it up & has to swerve around the stopped car & overtake it at the crossing because there was no chance of pulling up & Liberacing the poor driver!!!! Luckily there were no cars stopped on the other side or the train didn't clean her up

Got to be careful for sure
so bloody true, love it

Jim Jefferies has some great material, lots of his shows are available on youtube. He got beaten up on stage in 07/08 when performing in manchester.....he makes a good comeback.
