The one I learned on and used had a 12" bar. All my friends gave me crap because it smoked like crazy and was kind of slow. But that sucker would cut through anything. I put it through an 18" hedge log and didn't bog one bit, while I was pushing on it. They were putting their Stihl MS250s and 028s in the exact same log and bogging hard. It went through faster, doing 2 cuts, then their single cut. It was a wood cutting beast, for as small as it was.

i inharitted my first saw 3 years ago, on my 12th birthday from my grandfather a 1984 266se and from that day when got to go cuttin wood with my new saw i was addicted

I'm sure you've heard the saying, your only as old as you feel, that being said how old do you really feel? Haha in all honesty old guys have the best stories, especially if they are stories about saws of years past.

I honestly thought you were going to say, "someone who's first saw was a stihl" LOL. I am totally okay with that though ;).

For me it was a plastic homelite, loved having hp in my hand lol. I know what a piece of crap, but that thing heated my home for the second year I was here along with the pellet stove when needed. The next yr it was a Husky, so I thought :(, it was a 142 which is basically a poulan. But it did me well and then I got the one that really got me going, the 346xp, and now I have a hard time keeping up with them all .
It's been a fun ride for sure, and AS has made it all the more fun.

Never heard of this? I've heard of taking Benadryl to sleep better but never for cramps. Does it work pretty well?

Did last night!!! Heard about it on an outdoor forum. One guy mentioned it and quite a few chimed in.

Googled it and yup!!

I did get dehydrated........dogs got into my drinks and Snacks......sneakey they were.

I was hobbling around the store and thought I'd try it.

Worked pretty fast. With lots of water.

Hadn't heard of mustard. Looking into it.

Felt well enough to try and count my chainsaws.........

Derail over.

How much mustard does one need to eat to relieve cramps?
I will just squirt a bunch in my mouth, the last thing I'm thinking when I'm doing it is how much I'm getting :sucks:. If I had to guess it's probably right around a spoon full. I haven't tried less, and probably won't, because when I get them it's not fun .
To keep on topic here's my first pro saw a 346xp. I got it November of 2012 for $300 and used it for 2 yrs almost to the day and then I straight gassed it. I ended up seling it for $200 which is one of the worse saw deals I've done . That was many saws ago for sure .

My father in law asked me to fix his 041AV. I've been hooked since.

A good friend of mine worked for a local company most of his life. His boss (company owner) has an 041FB that stopped running. None of the local shops would repair it for him. (I think they all knew he had the means to buy a new saw and took that sales approach). He didn't want a new saw....he wanted his ole 041FB to run again. My friend brought the saw to me and I took on the project. One carb kit, fuel line, and a condenser later it was running like brand new. Cleaned it up for him too. My buddy brought his boss with him to pick it up. He fired up the saw and revved it a couple of times. He was grinning from ear to ear as he shut it off. The he said, "It's like having my old '55 chevy back again!!! This saw is what kept my wife and kids warm when we were poor back in the day...really means a lot to have it running again!!!!)
This type of thing is why I fix saws now. Just to see folks eyes light up when they hear their saws run again!

My first saw was a Craftsman electric. The saw that started the addiction was a cherry Stihl 260 ported by Terry Landrum. The 290 was donated to charity and the rest is history...

This is the saw. From what I've been told it is the same as a 340 but idk.

This is pretty close to what I used the first time I ran a chainsaw. It only had a 12" or 14" B&C on it though.
