Lots of walking. Brush covered piles. Bigger wood is below. Now they burned everything. Some of the burn files I guess you would call it didn't really catch very well in some of them did. Most of the stuff is fairly close to the road but I don't know if you can really call the road and some of these spots until they did their burning nobody was going up here to even get this would because it was too much of a pain in the butt
I've been cutting on a neighbors property here and there this summer..
I can back my truck into the fence line but the line is 500 to 600 feet long and 100 feet deep. Its overgrown and treacherous to walk in.
I was dragging my 038 mag with a 25" bar in there for quite awhile.
The saw mows through the trees fast but I find it gets heavier and heavier as the day goes by. It's also not a very limber limbing saw.
After the 2nd or 3rd time I went there to cut I pulled out a strong running ms260 that I have.
I cut all day with that saw and didnt get tired like I do with the big ol pig magnum.. 038 is faster but not by much as I get tired and slow as the day progresses.
I just picked up 2 60cc class saws to try for firewood scavenging. A 257 and a 562xp.
The 257 is ok so far but it vibes a lot and is quite a bit heavier then my 260s.
The 562xp once running will probably end up being my go to saw for getting wood out of the Bush.
Once out the 038 will be used to block it up.
