I'm leaning towards these three as of "today"..I'm sure tomorrow I will want another. :jawdrop: Which is the better saw?

I gave up on this one, have fun guys. :jawdrop: :hmm3grin2orange: :newbie:

Pretty easy imo, the 353 is a true pro quality saw, and quite a bit lighter than the 270 - no doubt the best of the bunch.

The 270 has a mag case, but it is not built like a true pro saw (not vertically split case, and heavy for its power).

The 350 is the lightest of them, but it has a plastic case.

But then again, it isn't that easy in the US, as the 353 now probably is only availiable with the E-tech (cat) muffler, so you will need to use another 50$ or so, to get the good muffler.

Yep, but they hold up nicely, anyway - and it is real easy to replace the top end on them - you can even put in a 346 one, if you want to....

Anyway, it is not the kind of saw I want, but a lot more desirable than a MS250 (I just hate those, dumpster next, if I had one - lol).........

Not what Consumer Digest says,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
I love pulling that on you Sawtroll,LOLOLOL

Now that is a good joke:laugh:

I have used and maintained a couple of friends MS250Cs just enough to hate them, slow cutting and a overwhelmingly plasticy feel - the 'ol 024AV is a much better saw.

They do cut wood, just not gracefully (btw, those where speced with a bit more power than the US ones - not as restricted here I guess, but wtf).........:taped:

I hate to say it, but even the plastic Poulans I worked on had the metal clamshell design like the Stihls homeowner models. I dont get that 350 set up.:dizzy:

It would be nice if the Poulans had tolerance's tighter then + or - 1/8 " ..

The crank of my PP180 and its awfully loose from the factory.. Lots of movement ...

Howdy Saw Troll,

I was just thinking the Holiday seasons are not far away. I hope you let all your relations know what saws you like and dont like. It would be a terrible scene for you to look in your Christmas stocking and see a MS 250 stuck in there. You keep saying their bad. I have to say its good, for its intended purpose. Have a good evening.

v/r

Mike

Maybe that clamshell design isn't such a great idea......  :givebeer: :givebeer:

..I have actually yet to see one happy 025/MS250 user here.....:help:
