Sorry to derail but I see Tom at the bottom and had to let him know that I was having dinner with Peter tonight.

Ya are, good. Give him my regards and remind him I may show up anytime so keep that office clean,LOL

I bet we will drink some beer tonight :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer:

He bought me a beer at the last meeting, that Peter Burton man is ok in my book. You tell him I wanna have a sit down meeting in his office to discuss MY plans for keeping Stihl at the top, not that his work hasn't paid off pretty good. With my input we shall reach heights unheard of in the saw world, tell him I said so,LOL

The saw I most often grab also, when there is serious work to be done......

I still grab the Makita 7901 for 99% of what I do. I just love that saw with 16" - 32" to cover all the bases and power to weight, then i just bring a back up for that just in case I :censored: up time. :buttkick:

HEY ultra, I have a guy that needs a 028 service manual. I have sent him the IPL and 011 service manual and IPL. If you can help him out let me know and I will put you in touch with him here.

One is a 3ci stock appearing race saw that can be run on 93 octane gas thru alky, the only race saw I own. :(
The rest of my saws are work first, playtime 2nd and run on pump gas.

Sorry, grabbed the wrong post.:dizzy:

I think alot of folks took this 361 372/375 thread as bashing one brand. It wasn't attended as that, it was to show what I have been saying about the new and used prices of the 361 and 372 being similar in price is all.

I sold a stock used 361 and bought a used 372/375 for the same price, before paying for the woods porting:bowdown: . Thats all I was showing, was that you can get more saw and YES ST  more weight for your money.:hmm3grin2orange: I gained 15cc's for the same money stock.

Both saws are great saws  for their purpose no bashing here all.

Well cut I tell ya what. Use those saws for something other than cutting cookies and you will see what I'm referring to. Stick a bar bigger than a 16" on that 372 and put it in some decent sized wood. Keep it in the cut for a awhile and tell me if the log burns, not a good situation! That is why all ports are angled on work saws, for a reason.

Most of my saws are ported right out the front of the muffler..............and yep I do cut big wood with 'em. Do they burn the log.....yep.....caught one on fire......nope. All is cool there!!!

Darth Vader Smiley face Avatar!!!!

I have three saws with ports in the front of the muffler, and it doesn't bother me all that much, running synthetic oil helps.

:biggrinbounce2: :biggrinbounce2: :hmm3grin2orange:

Andy Shine all kidding aside,,, that synthetic oil IS the best thing for two Smokers since sliced bread!!!!! you are right but not for me the straight out the front of the muffler relief porting is not good especailly when we have DRY SEASON !!!! many of our clean up jobs are old downed wood and high grass weeds etc,. just looking for a fire,,, I suppose if you are just into cutting cookies they are ok but try cutting up a 2 year downed yellow pine thats extra Rich,,,, and your muffler would cause a fire!!!!!!! no bashing intended,,, it does look like Darth Vader especailly after my second or third HefeWeizen LOL!!!!!!

What does a used 372 go for? I recently sold a 8 yr old MS360 for 350.00. Would a 8 yr old 372 bring that?
