Assuming the parts are original is should be a Super 44. The D-44 had a stamped steel air filter cover like the 77, and the Super 44A versions had an extra grill (hockey mask) over the flywheel screen. It could also be a 1-70.
The model number will be stamped on the bottom of the crankcase. This one happens to be a Super 44A, the 55 is XX'd out and the A is trailing. A Super 44 should have an S44 stamped on the bottom, probably with the 55 XX's out like this one.
