Had a '69 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 350 and 4.56 gears. Top end was about 83 mph. That thing got between 9 and 10 mpg, fast or slow, uphill or down it seemed. Had 2 spare tanks so it would hold 55 gallons.
I get 11 with this 250 I6 sm 465 and 4.57s and it’s screaming at 60 mph IMG_7211.jpegthat’s why I trailered it this weekend to to an all GM truck event in North Carolina IMG_7210.jpegI get the same MPG from the motorhome with the Cat 3126E even towing

Hahhaha seems i may have mentioned something about framing those gable end lookout rafters on the ground and then flying the whole shebang in.
I think I remember you being a bit surprised I did it, it was actually quite simple, especially compared to building them in the air.
Hopefully I'll be out there working on it a good bit tomorrow and Saturday. The rain may slow some outside progress, but I still hope to get a lot done. Also I'd like to swing by and grab some of the trim/metal.

Is that a pusher chassis? I have a buddy that works for MTA, his momma in law has one that is essentially the same chassis as the transit buses he works on. Loves it

My buddy is buying Silver. I sold all of mine when it spiked a few years ago. I just don't see why I should buy expensive Silver, when I can take all I want with a few cents worth of lead? If society goes under, no one left is going to be reasonable. So the guy wants one of your Silver Dollars for a loaf of green bread. I like the bow, it makes gravy to dip my home made bread in.
A realist...I like that 😁

You guys talking fuel milage, my new to me LMM duramax dually flatbed has been disappointing. Tuned and deleted and I’m averaging 12-13 on forbidden fuel. The old 7.3 powerstroke I had did about 18 average.

Our 08 suburban on the other hand only got about 15-16 when we got it. It lost a head last winter and I rebuilt the engine with some upgrades and now we are averaging about 22 out of it so quite happy with that.

I’m scared to check my plow truck which is a 97 F250 with a 460 and a heavy service bed on it.

Actually he did visit El Paso back in January. He's probably waiting for the republican contolled house to pass some legislation for him to sign. But they can't seem to even elect a leader.
i wanted to watch something else tonite. so i recorded his talk. then i caught up with the evening news. and they had a bit on him. says he needs $$ to this n that! for this n that! at that point i paid no more attention, and deleted his 7 pm tv talk!

has a tach? what is rpm at 60 mph?

Steve, where was the GTG that Clarence (Multifaceted) and I came to. It was in Pa, don't think it was yours. They had big tractors bringing in big logs. I brought 2 or 3 of my Super 1050's to Clarence's house. We decided to take his little car, and only one 1050 would fit in the trunk. The 36" would not fit so I took a 24". James was there and asked if he could run the 1050. I told him if he could start it, he could run it. He made one cut, shut it off and came over and said, "It needs a BIGGER bar". That's all he said. That one has a 45" on it now. I haven't started since, I've been waiting for James to be the first one on the 45. Are you still in contact with him?
That was the GTG Leadfarmer had. I talk to James once in a while. He's busy with his motorsickle and kids. Have you talked Clarence lately?

Wow😳 I do that with a basic drill press and a mig 🤣
just not as pretty.
I'm waiting for his braze and HT paint pics :picture::lol:.
Hoping the little ms170 welders I got will do some nice muffler mods. I've had a decent torch I could have probably done them with, but the welders should do a great job on something that thin? We'll see.
I may weld on a part that's all wobbled out on the exmark today. I still need to make another part to fix the pivot on the other side, that should be real easy since I now have a template(the one I already made), and the new cobalt drill bits. Sure is nice having a place to work on some projects under cover, can't wait to have the electric and air all done, but I think I'll focus on getting the walls and doors done first lol.

Someone would need to tell our leader how and where to sign it. He is nothing but a puppet.

The rear cab mounts rotted out on mine too.
Dang, you got bad luck with that. Not surprised though, another craptastic design that held water and crap.

I can fill you in in the 97 mpg. 6 ish, if you're lucky. Pushes snow like crazy, but gets real thirsty. Got rid of the plow shortly after I bought my 96. The kubota does a nicer job and doesn't suck fuel near as bad. Just takes a little longer.
