As for Stihls I like even the plastic crankcase ones.
What model's are you referring to???

I know you weren't asking me Ultra. But All of the Stihls seem very tough to me. Plastic is good is some ways cause it gives. I watched a good sized peice of red oak bounce of the side of my 359 near the handle cylinder cover area. Luckily, it did nothing. But I wont forget to move my saw more than 3 feet away from the splitting block next time.
Just to let everyone know tried it Liked it. Now I have 3 of them
Are they cheaper in a half rack. Yes they are a great bang for the buck.
I get a great deal on them even in singles...... . I have an AWESOME dealer here.........
Scott&Steve sure is great, but so is Spike, I suppose - and he sell more desirable saws......
Scott&Steve are great to deal with .......My dealer knows them too...
As for Spike60........Hes a great Dolmar dealer too IMO.
.
Never heard of Spike beeing a Dolmar dealer, more like Husky and Jred......

I know that, I am "speaking" with him a lot, and he has a lot of interesting stories to tell....So true Sawtroll, that Spike is ok 100%. Just so ya know Sawtroll he, Spike, and me have talked on the phone a few times. We laff at all the saw brand wars on here for he and I both know its all in good hearted fun. He's been picking up alot of old Stihls of late and rebuilding them. I got a few Huskies and he has a few Stihls, goes to show everything isn't as it seems to be sometime,

It just seems like some of the guys have to bash the other brand any chance they get.

some call it bashing, others call it enlightenment of chaps that are blinded by pure fanboism.
