024 carb

Was planning on rebuilding the carb over thanksgiving holiday. Purcahsed kit last week took carb off over the weekend. The kit the dealership sold me is a Tillotson RK-14-HU, the markings on the carb are Walbro wt22b.

Called dealership this am, they confirmed kit sold me was not right, but also say the wt22b is not the right carb for the 024.

I'm pretty sure carb is correct. What gives? Wrong carb, if correct is there a better option than the wt22b?

You need a WALBRO K10-WAT. The kit you have if for a tillotson carb. Yes, they look similar, but they do not interchange.


The WT22B is one of many "correct" carbs for the 024...

Thanks. Went back to the dealership, they tried to put me into a K20-WAT. Funny, but wouldn't have been when I tried to use the kit.

The K20-WAT would have worked fine. Someplaces it is a little bit more money and you would have had a few extra pieces but it would have worked. Good luck on the rebuild.

Yep... both K10 and K20 are fine....
