Mr. Nice Guy
Well... it has been quite some time since I've actually had to buy a repair part for one of my Stihls. But the 028 Super is showing signs of the Electronic ignition going out. Stalling out when it warms up... then a bear to restart until it cools off. It's my main elk camp saw, and it made life hell up there last year.
Anyways... my question is... anybody that has an OEM ignition wants anywhere from $75 to $100 smackers for them. Whether it's ebay or from a dealer... they want a good amount of cash for 'em. I've found a few used ones online, but am wondering if anybody has any experience with the aftermarket ignitions that are available? Any good? I guess if I have to I can pony up the cash for an OEM... but this saw gets used once a year for elk camp. I've already re-ringed it last year, and rebuilt the carb. It ran like a top until elk camp... even retuned it for altitude... damn saw.
So... are the aftermarket ignitions any good?
