Just after I finished restoring my 032, I noticed that there's a very slow leak at the joint between the halves of the gas tank. I've read up on how to repair this with JB Weld (tank is magnesium).
My problem at the moment is that I can't get the tank halves apart the rest of the way. Smacking it with a rubber mallet isn't working, it seems (maybe a tiny difference). Any suggestions on how to split this in half without damage so I can clean it up and epoxy back together?
