Looking at another saw, I want to get a NON-ARBORIST saw, what do you think, my dad has a 15 year old 372xp non-xtorq, I have a 550xp and I'm impressed of what a screamer it is for only being 50cc's, I'm looking at stihl, j-red or husky, thoughts? Preferably a new saw because I've had bad experiences in the past. I have the 30cc, 40cc, 50cc, 120cc range cover, my dad want me to get a 372 what our your thoughts?

lot of info in this rather lengthy "which" thread

http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/which-60cc-saw.289694/

if you have a 30, 40, and a 50cc saw.... might as well go ahead and jump another 10cc to a 60cc saw and stay in succession. Then add a 70cc.:p Seriously though, that is a huge jump to go from a 550xp to a 880. That gap needs to be filled. Id go somewhere in the 70-80cc range. They could do 90% of all the big stuff. What are the 30 and 40cc saws by the way?

If it was me, Id look no further than these 2 listings. A ported 7910 and a 550xp would be a "dream team".

Based on the saws that you have, a saw in the 70 cc range would likely be your best choice (although both those saws are great choices).

New, I would look at the 372 or 461, used I would look for a good 044/440 or 372. There are some on the trading post at this time, and buying from members is usually a good deal.
