stihlman441,
That is a great video, how much extra money do you have in the moded 441m? also what size bar do you feel you can run on the 441m? how does the 441 hang with a ported 460???
All really great work/firewood saws. btw if your ever in my neck of the woods id like to put my hands on that 441m:biggrinbounce2:
I have a Simonized ported 460 by far the meanest saw I've run. The thing just flat pulls like a freight train, it's no load rpm setting is 15,300. I did a before and after video on here with the same log and chain before and after, 40% faster than stock. I'll never sell the saw
gday indiansprings can you post a link of the vid please thinking of porting my 460

The saw got considerably stronger after it had 15-20 tanks run thru it. It will eat a stock 660 alive. Very strong saw, but carry a big fuel can with you. For bucking production work it's increased performance has paid for itself.
With that said I got my 441 M-tronic under the Christmas tree today, no chance to use it today, bought it for the wood crew, it'll replace the old 038, want the benefits of the anti-vibe, filtration, less fuel use.
Both modded and stock saws have their place.

Sounds lIke you have it covered,i would run a 25'' or 28'' on the ported 460 and then a 20'' on the stock 441C.The FIRST thing to do is a muff modd on the 441C and get some fuel through it and get her broke in.
Is there a "How To" thread for installing a proted muffler? I'm considering it on my 460 come spring.
I Know you didn't ask but 372 is better than both and cheaper and real men run husky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:
