55 rancher tank vent removal

Hi just wondering how to remove the tank vent on my rancher, is there anyway to clean these as I suspect it is giving me problems. I have the shop manual but is doesnt mention anything about the tank vent at least not in the tank assembly section. Thanks!

You don't have to buy a new one you can replace the little white fllter plug PN: 503-6004-01 3 bucks or the tank vent PN: 501-8731-01 $4 or so. you can blow the filter plug out w/ air hose.
