horse traded a 630 jonsered......its pretty nice. Im gonna call is early 2 piece ignition model...question is can I put a 272 top end on it...Not sure I would do it. Gonna run it some after a little maintenance but could be a feature mod. I have a nice top end including intake block ect.

I know the cylinder will fit but I think you will have to change the filter cover to one off a 670. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the cover.

You will also need the 272 carb bolts.

Thanks for posting that. I have a later model 630 that's going to be getting a 272 top end and I was thinking that I needed to find a 670 filter cover but it looks like the later covers will work..

The 6 series Jonsereds and the 61/26x/272 saws are cousins. Some parts interchange. Not sure if that is what you are asking.

Theses saws were discontinued years ago in the US but you can still buy a 61 and 272 in Brazil
