Stihl usually publishes a number for the oil output. For example, the 088 shop manual says "Adjustable17- 38 cc/min (0.6- 1.3 fl.oz/min) at 10,000rpm"If only there was a way someone could measure the output of the oilers, or better yet, there was a published spec on the outputs.
Your recollection is not wrong. Right now Stihlusa.com shows the 462 C-M as 6.0 BHP but the 462 C-M R as "only" 5.9 BHP.Not that it matters, but I could have sworn on the Stihl site it claims that the 462 has 6.0 BHP.
