in fact, i'm looking at one right now...but it might be a little too big for me to do, so i'm bringing a friend over to look at it.

should be plenty of fire wood from that tree.

I am thinking of getting my buddies portable sawmill, but I know nothing about doing this, what sizes do you cut it into. How do you dry it? My neighbor is a cabinet maker, he might be interested in it.

I cut everything at 1 1/8". I put it lumber on 4' long 4x4's spaced 2' apart and level. Between each layer of lathe above the 4x4 posts. when done put a sheet of treated plywood on top and then alot of weight to prevent warping. With walnut you might want to keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.

If you we alot closer I would pursue this.
