Another Rebuild

Well it's time for a rebuild. The old splitter we bought had a steel plate that was welded on the beam and everything attached to that. The problem was the plate hung over the back causing the splitter to flex. You can see the ends of the beam, we don't know if the flexing caused this or the beam was from a demo job. We are mounting the cylinder bracket directly to the beam this time. Here are some pics.

I think its around 5". We have no idea where it came from but it works great. Kind of slow on the return stroke, but Mr Matthews, my 78 year old buddy handling the grinder in the picture likes it just fine.
