Another stray followed me home..

This one followed me home today. Complete Freebie.

Cylinder really good. only very light marks. Piston skirts bit worn, have new oem Piston that will slot straight in, (also free, had it a while). main issue is botom end. quite sloppy, bearings grinding very audibly. so apart she comes!!

Anyone have any idea how old this one might be?? Ive never seen a 044 with a steel nametag. Would this be an early one?

Great score!! I think only a dealer can give you the age by the serial number.
Post the number, lets see if it's a 10mm or 12mm.

Aren't the cooling fins on top of the cylinder the indication of whether it is 10 or 12mm. I believe that the angled fins mean 10mm and the straight fins are for the 12mm.
