I use that tool for removing the edge burrs, but find it pretty much useless on Stihl ES bar rails - too hard..

I hand file using the file holder sold by Bailey's. It works fine and quickly. Just a couple of strokes on each side and it's done. I'm probably done in the time it takes to set up a jig.

I had to make do, the local dealer dont do bar work. heck, they didn't even have a tip in stock and then told me a new tip is 34.95:censored:

In my area, they WERE big bucks last year. Seems they had a price reality check on them this year, just like they did on the screnches.

BUT, if he didn't have one in stock, he may have just been looking at the price on the last one he sold???
