Bar stud thread size

I need to pick up a die to clean up some bar stud threads (Stihl). Can anyone confirm that the tread size is 7 X 1 mm?

in checking my 051(m10) and my 048(m8) the stud threads are either m8x1.25 or m10x10, both coarse threads fo rthe external thread(my 048 has one repair stud in it and is m10 on the inside). my pp260 are smaller again and are probably m6.

That would be M10x 1.0!

The standard stud thread at the nut is 8mm x 1.25

not quite, definitely isnt m10x10, rather it should have read m10x1.5.

O.K. I broke down and hit up the dealer for new studs. Both ends have the same threading 8 X 1.25 mm. Nobody seems to sell dies in that size and the old studs were so beat that O.D. was only 7 mm.........glad I fixed it the right way. I was surprised the old ones came out so easy with vise grips .
