Let's say you've taken your saw apart, removed the base gasket, did some other mods, and now you're putting it all back together. What do you use to seal up the interface between the cylinder and the crankcase? I have an old tube of Permatex red 51813 sealant, but maybe there's something better out there?
Last 3 or 4 we built with 518 we started as soon as we got the saw back together with no problems. I think cure time in the specs say 42 minutes
I was too until Brad and Mdavlee told me they started them right up. Ive tried it on the last several saws in the last few weeks with 0 issues. That's good to know. I was always Leary to run them right away
I think u will like 518 much better if u try herI've always used Yamabond for bikes and saws with good results. It is a little messy and stringy though. I might have to give the 518 a try.
