heck ya, I beat you were mad when they recently got rid of the returnable bottles:chainsaw: . Blatz is a great cheap beer.

I may be underage here in the states but I love beer. I consider myself a beer nerd, over 70 beers and counting. My dad and I get six packs all time just to try different beers. My favorites include goose island, newcastle brown ale, lion stout and for american beers I like honey brown and icehouse.

If anybody can find Great Lakes beer, definitely try it. I love the dortmunder and x-mas ale.

with all due respect to the amercians here, i think there is something wrong with a country in which you can vote and die for it(ie military)but cant have a beer. at least in canada the legal age is mostly 18(19 in some places).

to the guy that suggested bourbon, id prefer single malt. i got a 12 year old bottle of glefiddich for xmas that i was real impressed with. the wife personally prefers when i drink talisker, dont know why though:confused:

as for beers, the micros produce good product, if you come to nl, try the quidi vidi brands such as honey brown, 1892 etc. we also have pretty good locals brands from the labatts brewery such as black horse, blue star and dominion that i dont think are available anywhere else. i prefer the light bodied such as miller, bud, labatts or my own from scratch recipes, try to keep the alcohol to 4-5% so i can drink many:dizzy:

Cheers:cheers:

Normally: Brauerei Maisach Export

In the summer: Brauerei Rapp Wheat beer

My first post is about beer--go figure!!

Arrogant Bastard Ale-Stone Brewing Company (better yet Double Bastard Ale 10% alcohol)
Blithering Idiot-Weyerbacher Brewing Co.

Errr.. german saws and kiwi beer he-he P.S. NZ beer is NOT- repeat NOT- Aussie beer. The poor Aussies just aren't hard enough to handle the real stuff yet ..

Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout

Weyerhauser(sp) Weiss....good on its own, better with a slice of fruit

Blue Moon, and the summer ale, add an orange slice.

Now I'm thirsty, :buttkick: , who started this dam thread anyway. :chainsaw:

I'll agree with ya on the Molson being moose piss. Its sucks arse EH!!

But us Canucks make the best beer, EH!!

Anything from Vancouver Island Brewery, EH!!!!!!!!

So many micro brewery's around here, I can't even remember them all, EH.

Spinnaker's in your town makes a decent brew. Longwood up the road a bit, too. :givebeer:

Oh, and congrats to you Canucks for winning the WJHC again.

Budweiser Budvar Lager, the real stuff from Bohemia, not the watered down swill from St. Louis.

Hugenpoet

I was wondering if anyone was goin to mention that. They sell it as the name Crystal in the US. Guinness is one of my favorite beers.Killkenny cream ale and Smithwicks from Ireland is also good.

Did I hear someone say "burnouts on tractors"?????

And as far as my favorite beer???

of course that's just an appetizer for the real stuff......mountain distilled here in these WV hollers!

Corona, Guiness,Church Key Northumberland ale, Keith's, Sleeman.

sorry if I'm off topic but i dont see a topic called beer  what is the best beer for a lumber jack???

my choice would be hummmmm i think il choose molson canadian!

and your???

Could be worse. I'd take some Summit Extra Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Boulevard Stout and Porter, Guiness, Murphy's Stout, Smithwicks, and a host of others.

Molson is better than some, but there is a whole new world out there.

I second the votes for Newcastle brown and Smithwick's,Harp and Red-stripe are quite drinkable as well. Here's an oldie from the Pythons(still a little relevant):"How is American beer a liitle like making love in canoe?....Because it's F#$%ing close to water!

hahahaha funny stuff, then why do all the kiwi's come to oz...... cause all i see them doing is sitting around drinking our beer telling us how great nz is..............mmmmmmmmmmmm ok then why here????????

btw coopers sparkling ale is what i use to drink all the time.... about 7% but its too thick in a hot climate.....

normally its a sixer of coronas and then onto the tequila mixed stubbies........
good times

Also from the Orygun Coast...

But I like their Hazlenut Brown better or our Warshington the State brewed beer, ####'s Porter. :( OK, it won't let me type the nickname for Richard, but that is the name of the microbrewery. Rhymes with hicks.
