I remember reading an article years ago about dirt bike mufflers and the length of the pipe has an impact on response. A shorter pipe would provide a snappier response while a longer pipe helped with top end. I could be talking out of of my you know what but would be interested your guys thoughts?
Longer convergent & divergent raduis's normally attribute to better overal mid range & top end torgue values . This permits a more trackable power band , much less peaky delivery !

Ive not seen many properly deleted mufflers. I had pics 10-12 yesrs ago on here of when I cut mufflers in half deleting them.

Only mufflers ive seen properly gutted are the stihl front covers because people can access insides with whatever tools they have.

Otherwise people are lazzy or lack tools n skill

I would think a steadier power band would make for a more dependable saw. Less giggles while running but a better work saw?

Will do some testing on this saw with my big single port. Then add front dual port.

See if single port shows gains or loss over dual port.

Thats a good idea male a cut with dual port get temp.
Take dual off make cut and get temp on same spot

I started with the one on the right Nice torque gain temp was average being that it was still the front faceplate off the muffler second one was a remade faceplate with front baffle which did speed with slowly decreasing heat and then the one that I previously made I'm hoping it drops the temp even more and it does produce a lot of torque and speed just don't have any temporating yet because of temperature outside

I made the dawgs.
Its a 44/46

Havent cut with this muffler but have noticed that it favours the left exhaust outlet.

After noticing this I may make a cap to run on the outlets to see if I can see a difference in how it runs with a single outet left or right.

May also tack a wall between outlets idk, I just like to tinker.

I fabbed the 4 barrel intake on my ford 300 because I was to cheap to pay the 700 for the ones you just bolt on.

Also fabbed power steering brackets and misc other stuffs I coulda have bought to save tons of time.
