My question on this is: will it clear the brake handle without deflection of heat onto the handle? Looks like Nathan did some top quality work there.

I've shyed away from using copper as it is too soft for a working saw - I suspect that protrussion will get flattened by pressing on tree bark etc. But for show and tell at a GTG - perfect

Nathan's #1 with anything to do with Metals. Working with metal myself, all I can say is this vato calls the shots.
